JENKINS DNA Test Results

We now have many test results back which are listed below in Table I. Many Participants are waiting for upgrades to 25 or 37 marker test

We have our first matches where 2 individuals 15122 and 17255 confirm the genealogical data which indicates they are related with a common ancestor of William Jenkins (1675) of Virginia In addition kits 17788 and 21115 have exact 12/.12 matches which indicates they may be closely related. Each kit should upgrade to at least the 25 if not 37 marker test to confirm the relationship.

We are starting to have some interesting data as we have 4 Haplogroups now represented. R1b, R1a, I and J2 . This shows what a very diverse group the JENKINS surname is. The I haplogroup may represent "viking" origins and the J2 is usually related to middle eastern origins
